What was your reaction when lockdown was announced? What have you missed most, apart from family & friends? What have you been doing? Have you learnt something new or unusual?Has lockdown been difficult or easy, could you get used to this way of life? What is the first thing you will do/like when life is back to normal?Anything else you'd like to say about your lockdown experience?
My reaction was a qualified resignation, thinking this would be the best method to defeat the Covid-19 virus.Social activities such as indoor and outdoor bowls, walking with friends, going to the shops and not feeling guilty and of course the WI both here and in Suffolk where I am a dual member.I've learnt to Zoom, help keep a WI going despite all the restrictions, and my typing skills have improved no end!Lockdown has not been easy or difficult, just very frustrating.Take off my mask when out and about. Give my daughter and family a big hug. Visit my sister in York, my friend in the Lake District.I've learnt that patience is a virtue that I don't always have when I see the large numbers of people not folllowing 'the guidance'.!
It's important to keep talking by whatever means are available, eg Zoom/Facebook, the telephone, newsletters and even snailmail.
