Social Evening - August 8th

Watton WI committee organised a social evening for our August meeting, which was very enjoyable. It gave the members time to chat and find out what is going on in the WI locally as well as getting Federation news. Our group has a number of activities for ladies with similar interests and details of these groups were outlined at the meeting - Book Club, Craft Club, Lunch Club, each meeting monthly.

Federation activities were also shared and there are lots of opportunities to join in these events.

As there wasn’t a guest speaker for this meeting, a quiz was organised which created lots of discussion as answers were shared between groups of ladies; those with the most correct answers winning a small prize.

As usual there was a competition and members are always encouraged to take part. This month’s competition was to create a flower arrangement in a wine glass. It was well supported with about half of those present entering an arrangement.

Refreshments were served and the regular raffle was drawn before a final thought was shared by one of our members.
