On Monday 24^th April we carried out our ACWW walk. Despite the rather cold weather, and with showers forecast, 16 of our members braved the elements and carried out a 3-mile walk. We met up in the carpark of Horning Village Hall at 10.30am and it was lovely to see so many participants, including some new members. The planned route took us through lovely countryside towards Wroxham and we walked through BeWILDerwood and then back to the picturesque village of Horning. During the walk we were caught in showers and some umbrellas, hats and hoods were used to shelter us. However, we also had the pleasure of some glorious sunshine between the showers, and some of us were lucky to see the heron take off right in front of us. All enjoyed our chats and each other’s company. On return to Horning most of us stopped for ‘Coffee and Cake’ and we felt more than ready for refreshments by then. The ‘Staithe and Willow’ made us feel very welcome and their freshly made cakes and scones were delicious. It was a very enjoyable morning and £36 was raised towards the ACWW funds.
