About
We are Neatishead, Barton Turf and District WI, and we offer visitors and members, old and new, a warm welcome. At present we are about 45 members.
Our meetings are held in the afternoon on the third Wednesday of the month. We start at 2pm and usually finish about 4 to 4:30pm. We meet in the New Victory Hall, Neatishead, NR12 8AD. The New Victory Hall opened in 2009 and is one of the most unique and eco-friendly village halls in Britain. For directions https://victoryhall.info/directions/
Our WI group held its first meeting in 1933 and we are part of a fellowship of more than 200,000 women, the largest women’s organisation in the U.K.
Our organisation is inclusive, supportive and progressive.
We aim to be educational, inspirational, friendly and fun.
We have an exciting programme, and the afternoon of our meetings usually consists of the following:
- Welcome and Jerusalem
- Birthday Posies
- Speaker / Demonstrator
- Tea break
- Business including notices and AOB
We have a raffle, trading stall and notice board at most meetings. We use the money from the trading stall to support our chosen, local charity and from the raffle to support our funds.
There are many other events for our members to take part in. We organise Theatre trips, Walks, Day outings, Craft afternoons, Quiz teams……the list is endless!
As a member, you will also be part of the Norfolk Federation and they offer many more opportunities.
