About us

Wells next the Sea Women's Institute, now in its 95th year, has 47 members.

We are a friendly, active group who meet on the 1st Thursday of each month at 2.15pm at the WI Hall, Church Plain, Wells next the Sea -opposite St. Nicholas Church and behind the YHA. 

The WI offers the opportunity to hear a different speaker each month after which we have an all important social time with tea, coffee and biscuits.  There is also the opportunity to join in a relaxed mid-month activity which might be a visit to a nearby house and garden, a soup and dessert lunch provided by members or a charity fund raising occasion.          

Most importantly the WI fulfils the need for friendship.
We enjoy our meetings and have some very interesting speakers.  If you are new to the area or just want to meet new people, come along to any of our meetings. We'll be very happy to see you.
