2023
2023
After 'surviving' the first year things were much easier, the committee were working well together to provide a programme and social events, which were both entertaining and educational.
FEBRUARY
| As part of the Show the Love campaign several members created green hearts to place around Stalham | |

| The first social of the year was a trip to the theatre to see Kinky Boots |
March
| If Stalham thought the WI was quiet and ladylike they were disappointed, as in March we held a session of Laughter Yoga which had originally been planned for the previous September but had been postponed after the death of the Queen. |
May
May had us celebrating a new King, attending our first Norfolk Federation Annual Meeting and finally getting a date to plant our coummunity tree.
| |
| At our meeting we celebrated the coronation of the new King | Whilst our first community tree planting finally got a plot and a planting date (originally planned for the Platinum Jubilee but things never run to plan here in Stalham), little T.W.I.ggy had been living and growing in the Secretary's back garden. |
June

| We had fun this month creating a teacup flower display, although one member did describe it as sticking flowers in green stuff randomly. | The final display - each one is unique despite having the same flowers and greenery. |
|
|
| Away from the meeting several members took the opportunity to try their hand at Crazy Golf at nearby Mundesley | We also did our bit to keep our local beach clean, on a short walk along the shoreline in the sun |
July
| ![]() |
| After what seemed like forever we finally managed to plant our Crab apple sapling (T.W.I.ggy). Hopefully it will grow strong and bear fruit to be made into jam... | At least the weather was fine for the actual planting, but it didn't stay dry as ten/fifteen minutes after the photos the heavens opened and T.W.I.ggy got watered in. |
September
| |
| At the monthly meeting we learnt about how to use a defribrillator and carry out CPR with the help of the East Anglian Air Ambulance | Some members took the opportunity to have a go for themselves. |
| |
| Our Summer Outing this year was an afternoon boat trip along the River Bure from Wroxham. | As part of the Norfolk Federations Heritage Day several members teamed up with Sutton WI members to take part in the Norwich Treasure Hunt. |
November
Once again our members crafted poppies for Remembrance with three displays being located in the town
| |
| This year we decorated one of the town signs | We also added the Anglian Church of St Mary's |
| Once again the Baptist Church got poppied | Even the resident T-Rex did his bit, but he got hungry as his wreath disappeared. |
December
This year our Christmas Celebration took place in the nearby village of Hickling at the Greyhound Inn
| The Yuletide market is one of our main fundraisers. | Our tree at the St Mary's Tree Festival complete with a Wherry topper. |
| Clearly the photographer didn't get heard or maybe they just ignored her (more likely to be fair). | Naturally every WI has a table of troublemakers, these four put the secretary (in the elf jumper) to shame. |
