Here we  are all in the same brilliant boat, namely the Gt. Ormesby WI Viking Ship.  Each Member vital and appreciated in our voyage to the future.   Formed in 1921 on the crest of Womens Suffrage ans general desire to play an active role in society, public and political life, a goal that remains as important today as then.   But as we all know,  empty barrels just make noise,  we want and do have influence backed by information and awareness,   Which is where the WI comes in.  We draw on the past to fill our sails  (sorry).  Information, experience, exploration all eagerly subscribed to,  learning from each other as well as from visiting Speakers and Demonstrators.   The subjects covered in our 94 year of existence is enormous but more recently we have covered:-

We have several special interest groups, swimming,craft,book,seasonal rambling,keep fit,bridge and occational lunch group.

Bracecamp  Hall in Ormesby St Margaret is where we meet on the second   Wednesday at 2pm.  A light and aery hall with comfortable chairs , loop system and good heating.  A well stocked kitchen with a boiling water tap,full size cooker, fridge freezer and a micro wave oven.  Improved toilets also for disabled,  new hand drying system and many other things of general benefit. Easy parking and access.
