Our Coronation Garden The site Designed in 2019 as a garden commemorating 100 years since the end of the 1st World War. Since then cared for by WI members who have donated their time, energy, plants and a bug house. The site also has the Little Library and food donation shed. Gardeners Barbara, Eunice, Janie and Ruth Aims To improve Community use of the garden, to produce free vegetables and fruit, to inspire others, to care and encourage wildlife to use the garden. Eco Credentials All wooden containers made from recycled pallets. Compost made from previously composted oak leaves. No pesticides or weed killer used. Rainwater used from a water butt whenever possible. |  |

Our Achievements
August
Beans a tremendous success. Tomatoes produced, some strawberries enjoyed by the local blackbird. The herbs flourished in their sunny site. Produce used by the village community. We hope the bees and insect life enjoyed the wider variety of plants. Bees used the bug hotel.
The future
We will continue to grow beans, tomatoes and herbs. Try squash plants in separate containers. Grow autumn flowering raspberries. Encourage more teasels, provide a water feature, and put up bird boxes. Enjoy our garden and each other's company.
