monthly walk
Tuesday 15 February 2022
This week, our walking group visited Raveningham Gardens for a snowdrop walk. Unfortunately we chose the wettest day of the week. This did not put anyone off although there were some wet feet and wet trousers.
We had a look around the church and the greenhouse with pretty flowers in bloom. There were loads of drifts of snowdrops of different varieties. We admired the statues around the garden and the pond. We gave the stumpery the miss as the grass was rather long in that area of the garden. After our walk we adjourned to the White Horse in Trowse for lunch.
Some say this is the main reason for the walking group!

While we were in the pub, we took the opportunity to present Pam Cooper, our retiring President with a Thank You card. Pam has been President for over 10 years, which makes her the longest serving President since Mrs Burgess who retired in 1936 after 13 years.
