WI meeting on Thursday 13th December - a Murder Mystery surprise awaits and Xmas treats

This meeting was our usual combination of tasty food, great entertainment and good company. Thank you to the 'Inglestars', our very own Producer Cath Roche and to Hazel Holyfield for the Christmas quiz. A very big thank you to all the members who contributed to a very enjoyable buffet

Ten pin bowling at Hunstanton, at 10.30am on Tuesday 27th November

3 WI members, all extremely competitive, met to see who would ultimately reign win the title. After two challenging games, Carol Hodges was crowned Supreme Bowler. Will she be able to hold onto her prestigious title or will she be defeated at the next event? Oh the drama!

Fish and Chip lunch in Village Hall at 12 noon, Friday 23rd November

This was thoroughly enjoyed by 24 people and, following a show of hands, it was agreed that this event will be repeated early in the New Year.

Group walk on Tuesday 20th November, meet at hall at 10am

Seven hardy souls challenged the predicted weather forecast for a walk around Great Massingham. The rain started before they were even out of the village but fortunately they had all come prepared and were happy to continue. Their route followed quiet roads which led onto Peddars Way where they watched enthusiastic piglets running to a tractor to be fed. Their thoughts then turned to the warmth and food awaiting them at The Dabbling Duck, where later they could indulge in good food and entertaining conversation. Wildlife highlights included a heron which flew cross the village pond to greet the walkers and a group of 6 red kites which flew over the wood as they travelled home.

Christmas Memories at Corn Exchange, Kings Lynn, 2.30pm on 19th November

If you like Christmas, and Christmas songs, then this was just the event for you. Fifteen WI members all thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon and joined in with the singing with gusto. This was easy entertainment with lots of laughter and festive spirit.

Annual Meeting - Thursday 15th November

Carole Casey stood down as President at this meeting. When we presented Carole with a small token of our appreciation it was very evident how much we all appreciated and valued all she has done during her time as our President. Hopefully she will now have time to relax but, knowing Carole, this probably won't happen.

Tea and Chat- Saturday 10th November- 2pm-4pm

Our November Tea and Chat was very poignant this year, using the occasion to remember the young men from Ingoldisthorpe who served in the First World War.

The Memorial Garden is coming along. Once finished the garden will have great potential, especially as it has easy access.

Healthy Living and Well Being Day

On Saturday 16 June we held our Healthy Living and Well Being Day. This event was extremely well organised by Jean, Lesley, Maureen and Sandie. The event was very well supported and there was a great atmosphere. As usual really good food was served at lunchtime (healthy of course).
