Covid 19 Statement

The health, wellbeing and safety of our members and office staff is the Federation’s first priority.  This is a fast moving and fluid situation and we are carefully monitoring Government advice.  The Board of Trustees of the Norfolk Federation therefore took the decision to close the Federation’s Office at Evelyn Suffield House to everyone; members, Sub-Committees, the Board of Trustees and the public, for the foreseeable future.

Following Government advice on reducing non-essential contact, most Norfolk WIs have taken the decision to cancel their monthly meetings for the time being.  However, we recognise the importance to our mental health of staying in touch. This we are achieving by social media – Facebook, Instagram, etc. WI Secretaries are being kept abreast of Federation updates by email and share these with members.  Importantly, we are continuing to publish the Norfolk WI News Magazine, so that members still feel connected to the WI family.

We know how vital it is to keep our mental health as safe as our physical wellbeing.  The strength of the WI is in keeping an eye on each other, keeping in touch and keeping positive, never more so in uncertain times.  WI members know that they can draw on the support of their fellow members.
